So, I live about 3 miles from a comic book shop and I've made a habit of going there every Wednesday, when they get shipment. I've noticed that when you're a girl and you walk into a comic book shop full of pimple-faced teen boys, you get stared at--a lot. From the minute I walk in, they stare and watch like hawks to see which comics I pick up. I always feel like I'm being judged. There's also an obese and loud man who hangs out there constantly(and puts his huge backpack on top of the comics I just so happen to want)that bears a striking resemblance to 'Comic book guy' on The Simpsons. Anyways, I've started collecting old comics so I thought I'd start sharing a little of what's inside when I get some new ones.

I love how Raquel Welch was the hot girl on posters at the time! |

| 100 for $1.50?! That's a pretty fail deal, I'd say. |

Wow, what a fun collection :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty fun thing to collect! Nice. I've never been in a comic book store, but I don't doubt that we girls would get stared at... hahaha. I love the advertisements. I like flipping through old "LIFE" magazines to see what I can find.
ReplyDeleteI love comics! Shey got me into them after we had been dating a couple of years. I am mainly into the female based ones such as Catwoman, Batwoman and Gotham City Sirens. I loveeee Gotham City Sirens although its over. I don't have any vintage comics though. Shey does. But I love comics! and it's so great to see other girls who do :)
